Albert Derasse

Practice Director

Albert joined Agilytic in July 2022 as Practice Director. After studying Communication at UCL and Marketing at ICHEC, Albert spent ten years working as a brand manager and marketing manager for advertisers. After this, he spent five years in Marketing Automation before being caught up in Data Science while working at SAS, where he became aware of analytics' power in the context of marketing performance while working in Western Europe.

His experience led him to accompany companies in finance and insurance, media, services, retail, etc., on analytical issues. He summarized this experience in 2020 in the book "Algorithmes and Blues du Directeur Marketing. L'IA au service d'un Marketing moderne", published by Edipro, which had a second edition in 2022.

Albert has a good knowledge of the added value that Data Science can bring to Marketing and shares his knowledge in various business schools and professional associations such as ICHEC, the UBA and the Belgian Association of Marketing, where he has been co-captain of the MarTech Think Tank since 2021. Albert is also a columnist in the Eco section of La Libre Belgique since Albert values the balance between Marketing Strategy and Technique.

At Agilytic, he leads the Marketing and Customer Experience practice, and in this sense, he leads projects with Data Scientists with the enthusiasm and passion he is known for.

In his free time, he likes to put his hands on the engine of his oldtimer car, which doesn't ride much. He likes to spend time with his long-time friends (far from Data Science matters) and tries to enjoy quality time with his wife and his two grown-up daughters.
